Hydrating your skin

By Robyn Dowsley - January 15, 2018

I am no spring chicken any more and whilst many might argue that I am in no way old I feel that it's never to early to start caring for skin. Aging skin needs more hydration. Keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and never skipping moisturizer. I never used to use a night cream but now that I am getting older I've started to and have found it makes a difference.

There's no need to run for the botox when you see those fine lines appearing - hydration is the first step to anti aging. Why? Because when we grow older our skin looses its ability to retain moisture the way it used to. You could almost liken our skin to a flower or other growing plant... if you don't water it it's going to whither and die - much like our skin cells when we don't keep them hydrated.

So how do we hydrate our skin?
Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells. It also leaves your skin looking fresher.

Moisturize. Keep your skin hydrated by moisturizing your skin. Use a moisturizer that works for your skin but do not skip the moisturizer

Protect your skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen and protective clothing

Drink water

Eat well.

Use make up products that don't dry out the skin.

Younique have released a hydrating mask available for purchase on Feb 1.  This is perfect for aging skin or those who have dry skin.

You have your skin forever so invest in it and treat it well x
